"Everyone should at least have one formal suit," Kamala said to us. And that is why she took us suit shopping at "Well Suited," a great non-profit run by Janet Lavender. Suit shopping is a lot harder than any other form of shopping, I think.
I had a really hard time finding a suit because it was either too short at the sleeves, or too tight at the waist or it simply made my shoulders look funny. Picking a bottom was even harder! The skirt was too tight, too short, too long or the pants were too short, too loose or too tight. I'm very picky with my clothes so when it came down to picking a suit it was real hard. There were so many of them to choose from! All of us girls walked out with bags of clothes. I can honestly say that if it weren't for that day I wouldn't have a suit because I would have never thought to buy one, or probably afford one.
I thought this was very nice of Kamala to do for us, considering how much money she spent that day. To top it off she took us out to eat after! I know that me and the girls are really grateful for what she did for us.
Kamala is right everyone should own at least one all black suit because it can come in handy for many situations like for an interview or even a funeral. It's essential.
