In the past two weeks the Global Girls have been spending more time together than ever before. With our crazy schedule and endless interviews we've been pushed into overtime. From sun up to sun down we're together. I don't mind this one bit.

My brother constantly says to me jokingly " Just go live with the Global Girls!" He says this because I'm hardly home. Our schedules are pretty hectic because many of our interviews are in distant locations and we have to leave about an hour earlier because we don't want to be late. Transportation is a big variable in our schedules because we have a few number of cars and many of us live far away from each other. Regardless of the number of obstacles we face, we do our best and get the job done well.
Thursday morning we arrived at Kamala's house at 10 a.m. Finally we had a day to relax and reflect. We started our morning with a brief discussion about our next story. Our GlobalGirl duties come first, always: Kamala and the rest of the team makes sure of it. Then we rushed into Kamala's pool! The fun began. That entire day was amazing. I carpooled with Jessica and Maria and I can honestly say I found the missing element that not many people realize we have developed here and that is: friendships. Edith, Sussete, Jessica, Martha, Maria, Diana and Rocio are my new friends.
I can say with 100% confidence that I see a change in me. Before Global Girl I was very naive; I knew there were things that needed changing but now, more than ever, I know that I can make a difference with my voice. And I really want to reach out to my community and have them know that their story is important and that there are people who are willing to listen to them but most importantly raise awareness about issues that need addressing. I've learned so much from all these girls and from everyone involved with GlobalGirlMedia. I am thankful for everyone who has supported us and everyone who believes in us.
