Citizen Effect is a website that provides everyday citizens the tools and networks they need to work directly with communities in need around the world. Their “Citizen Philanthropist” model gives participants the ability to choose their project, leverage their social networks, and communicate directly with their partner community and raise money for the issues they feel strongly about.




SOUTH AFRICAN PARTNERS

EKASI WOMEN’S ARTS ENSEMBLE uses theater and educational workshops to foster greater understanding related to HIV/Aids and gender equality sourcing girls for the program, Soweto, South Africa

KIDS HAVEN is a residential and rehabilitation Shelter and Village for Street children and other children at risk. The focus is on reunification of the child back into the community, prevention and early intervention programs for the community.

TEBOHO TRUST provides personal empowerment, social development, economic development and wellness through programs, activities and events to over 300 students in the East Orlando section of Soweto, South Africa.


Based in Johannesburg, T.O.M PICTURES are a Black Empowerment Equity Production Company committed to making content that reflects the true nature of African identity, and to contribute to and participate in the growth and understanding of South Africa and the African continent. TOM Pictures is Global Girl Media’s official production partner in South Africa.

TSHWANE HOME OF HOPE is a shelter for girls in crisis providing residential care, educational and developmental assistance to homeless or street girl-children and young women who have been victims of rape, human trafficking, sexual exploitation or parental abuse and neglect.



UBUNTU EDUCATION FUND works in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa providing orphaned and vulnerable children and their families with life-saving HIV support services and essential educational resources. Ubuntu has created an integrated system of medical, health, educational and social interventions that ensure that a child who is either orphaned or vulnerable can succeed in the worlds of higher education and employment.
