Current Project
Global Girl Media’s Kick it Up! project invites South African girls, ages 15 to 20 to become participant broadcast journalists for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The project links underserved girls with seasoned broadcasters and filmmakers, providing journalism and media training, equipment, and exposure, showcasing girl-created content for the FIFA World Cup Soccer Tournament in 2010, hosted by South Africa. Set to launch Summer, 2009 with strategic partnerships in South Africa and the U.S.
